Local Experts You Can Trust
Custom Pool Builder in Buford, GA
Buford backyards deserve more than a basic pool. Aqualis Pools creates custom pools, spillover spas, and complete outdoor living spaces for homeowners across northern Gwinnett and southern Hall County. Whether you live near historic downtown or out by Lake Lanier, our team brings design, permitting, and construction together under one roof.
Proudly Serving Buford, GA
Buford has grown into one of the most sought-after places to live in north Georgia, and its backyards show it. From the brick storefronts of historic Main Street to lakeside properties near Buford Dam and family neighborhoods in Hamilton Mill and along the Mall of Georgia corridor, homeowners here are investing in outdoor spaces built for year-round living.
That is exactly the kind of work we love. We serve Buford from our Gwinnett County base, close enough for quick site visits on both sides of the county line. Because the city spans Gwinnett and Hall counties, we manage the right permits for your specific address and design around the wooded, often sloped lots that make this area so attractive. Our projects here lean toward full backyard transformations: pool, spa, kitchen, and fire features planned as one build.
Our Pool Services in Buford
Here is how we help Buford homeowners turn a yard into the best room of the house.
New Pool Construction
Every new pool construction project starts with a free 3D design, so you can see your pool before we break ground. In Buford we are often asked for resort-style builds: tanning ledges, spillover spas, and elevated water features that suit larger lots near the lake and in newer communities off Buford Drive.
Pool Remodeling & Resurfacing
A dated pool can undercut a beautiful property. Our pool remodeling service updates interiors, equipment, and tile and coping to match the standard of today’s Buford homes, whether you are refreshing a lake-house pool or modernizing one that came with the property.
Hardscaping
Good hardscaping is what makes a backyard feel finished. We build paver pool decks, patios, walkways, and retaining walls, and on Buford’s rolling terrain a well-placed retaining wall often creates the flat, usable space a pool needs.
Outdoor Living
For many Buford projects, the pool is just the beginning. We design and build outdoor living spaces around it: outdoor kitchens for game-day cookouts, covered structures for shade, and seating areas that keep the backyard in use well past summer.
Why Buford Homeowners Choose Aqualis
Premium projects demand tight coordination. A Buford build often involves the pool, spa, kitchen, hardscape, and lighting, and problems appear when those pieces are handled by separate contractors who never talk to each other. We plan and build the whole backyard as one project, with one schedule and one team accountable for the result. You see the design in 3D before construction starts, you know who to call at every stage, and the finished space works the way it was drawn. Add our knowledge of local permitting on both the Gwinnett and Hall sides of the city, and you get a build that moves smoothly from drawing to first swim.

Frequently Asked Questions
It depends on the design. A straightforward pool and deck is a very different project from a full outdoor living space with a spa and kitchen, and lot conditions such as slope and access matter too. We scope your project in a free design consultation and give you an itemized proposal, so you can compare options clearly.
Plan on several months from approved design to swim-ready. Custom features, permitting, and weather all influence the timeline, and larger outdoor living projects phase in additional trades. Your proposal includes a realistic schedule, and we keep you informed as each stage completes.
It depends on your address. Buford spans Gwinnett and Hall counties, and homes inside the city limits fall under the City of Buford, so the permitting office varies by property. We confirm the right jurisdiction for your lot and handle the permit process from application through final inspection.
Yes. Spillover spas and fire features are two of our most requested additions in Buford. Designing them with the pool from day one keeps plumbing, gas, and electrical runs clean and the finished layout cohesive. We can also retrofit a spa or fire pit as part of a pool remodel.
Yes. Pre-approved pool loans with competitive rates are available through our finance providers, and they can cover the full backyard scope, not just the pool. Visit our financing page to get started, or ask during your consultation and we will walk you through it.
