See your pool in 3D before we break ground.
A new pool is a hole in the ground that has to be right the first time. Aqualis Pools designs and builds custom pools for Georgia homeowners, and every project comes with a free 3D design of your actual yard. Aqualis Pools also takes on projects across Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina.

Designed Around You, Built to Last
A custom-built pool is engineered for one yard: its slope, soil, access, and the way your family will use the water. Shape, depth, entries, finish, and equipment are all decisions, not defaults.
What it is not: the fastest or cheapest way to swim. A prefabricated shell dropped into a standard excavation goes in quicker and costs less, and if a standard shape suits your yard and your budget, that is a fair choice. The trade is flexibility: a custom build fits yards and shapes a standard shell cannot. Our guide to what a gunite pool is and how it is built covers the shell, the steel and the shotcrete step by step.
The new pool construction process at Aqualis starts before any machine arrives. A consultation covers the yard, the budget conversation, and how the pool will actually be used. The design team turns that into a free 3D design you approve or push back on. Settling the plan first matters, because changes on paper are easy and changes in concrete are not.
Construction then runs in sequence: excavation, structural work, plumbing, finishing, startup, and a final walkthrough. Most pools take several weeks to a few months depending on size and complexity, and you get a detailed schedule during planning.
Shape and size. Set by the yard and the use, not a catalog.
Depth and entries. Play depth, lap depth, steps, beach entry, or a tanning ledge from our pool features and add-ons.
Finish. Plaster, pebble, or tile: different feel underfoot, different look in sunlight, different lifespan.
Equipment. Pump, filtration, heating, automation. Decided at build time because it sets the monthly running cost; see pool equipment upgrades for what modern equipment changes.
The ground around it. Decking, paver patios, and retaining walls where the yard needs structure, planned with the hardscaping team so it is built once.
The honest answer: it depends on the four things above. Size and depth move excavation and shell cost, access moves machine time, finish and features move everything after.
Owning a pool also costs money monthly: pump energy, chemicals, and heating if you choose it. Equipment picked at build time decides most of that bill, which is why we treat it as a design decision, not an afterthought.
Financing is available if you would rather spread the cost. Three lending partners are compared on our pool financing options page.
A pool often goes into a yard that is already finished: existing patio, mature trees, a deck someone loves. The plan then covers machine access, protecting what stays, and knitting the new pool into the existing hardscape so it reads as one space, not an addition. Where the yard changes anyway, outdoor living work like kitchens and fire features is cheapest to do while the machines are already there.
We build in Lawrenceville, Buford, Loganville, Athens, Auburn, and nearby Georgia communities; the full list is on our service areas page. Finished builds are in the gallery.
How long does new pool construction take?
Most pools take several weeks to a few months depending on size and complexity. You get a detailed schedule during the planning phase, and the 3D-design-first process exists to keep changes out of the construction weeks.
Can I customize my pool design?
Yes, fully: shape, size, depth, features, and finishes. You approve a free 3D design of the exact pool before construction begins.
What features can be added to a new pool?
Lighting, waterfalls, tanning ledges, fire elements, and more; see pool features and add-ons.
Do you offer financing for pool construction?
Yes, through our lending partners. Our pool financing options page explains each one and how to check your rate.
Will a new pool increase my home value?
A well-designed pool creates a desirable outdoor living space that attracts buyers, which makes it a strong long-term investment on top of the everyday enjoyment. It is worth saying plainly that it is a lifestyle purchase first: build it for how you will use it, not only for resale.
Two answers determine most of your build: what the pool is mainly for (kids, entertaining, exercise, cooling off), and what your yard gives us (slope, access, trees, sun). Bring those two and we will bring the free 3D design.
