Keep the pool. Change everything else about it.
Pool Remodeling Across Georgia
An older pool does not have to be replaced to feel new. Remodeling reworks the pool you already own: the finish, the equipment, the features, and the space around it. Aqualis Pools also takes on projects across Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina.
Upgrade, Restore, and Reimagine Your Pool
What Pool Remodeling Is, and What It Is Not
Remodeling works within the shell that is already in the ground. It covers the interior finish, the tile and coping, the equipment that runs the pool, the deck around it, and features that were never there in the first place. Most tired pools need three or four of those, not all of them.
What it is not: a new pool. Remodeling will not move the pool, change its footprint, or fix a shell with serious structural failure. If the shape is wrong for how you use the yard, or the structure has gone, the honest answer is that new pool construction is the better spend, and we will say so rather than sell you a remodel that leaves the real problem in place.
It is also not always the whole job. If the only tired thing is the interior finish, you want pool resurfacing on its own, which is a smaller and cheaper project than a full remodel.
How a Remodel Runs, and Why the Assessment Comes First
The first visit is an assessment, not a sales call. We look at the shell, the finish, the plumbing, and the equipment, and separate what is failing from what is merely dated. Those two lists get different treatment: failing items are not optional, dated items are your choice.
Signs a pool is ready for this work: cracks, rough or stained surfaces, tile falling away, equipment that runs constantly or costs more every season, and a design that no longer matches how you use the yard.
Once the plan is agreed, work runs in sequence and finishes with startup and a walkthrough. Timelines vary with scope: minor updates can take a few days, full renovations several weeks, and you get a clear timeline during planning.
Design Decisions Made Before Anything Is Removed
The finish. Plaster, pebble, or tile changes the look, the feel underfoot, and how long it lasts before the next refinish. Handled on our pool resurfacing page.
Tile and coping. The waterline band and the edge you sit on. Dated tile ages a pool faster than anything else; see pool tile and coping.
The equipment. A remodel is the cheapest moment to replace an inefficient pump or heater, because the system is already open. See pool equipment upgrades, pool pump repair, and pool heater repair.
Water treatment. Switching to salt changes the feel of the water and the routine of looking after it. Trade-offs both ways on our saltwater conversion page.
New features. Lighting, water features, a tanning ledge: cheaper to add during a remodel than as a standalone job later. See pool features and add-ons.
The deck. A refinished pool inside a cracked deck still looks old. pool deck resurfacing is usually worth doing in the same visit.
Once the plan is finalized, our experienced team handles every aspect of the remodeling process. From structural repairs like pool pump repair and pool heater repair to advanced upgrades such as saltwater conversion, we ensure every detail is completed with precision and care. The result is a fully transformed pool that is modern, efficient, and built to last.
What a Pool Remodel Costs
Cost follows scope, and scope is genuinely yours to set. A finish-only refresh sits at one end, a full rework of finish, tile, equipment, deck and new features at the other. Because the work is modular, a remodel can be staged across seasons rather than done in one bill.
Worth saying plainly: some of this work pays part of itself back. Efficient equipment lowers the monthly running cost, and a sound finish prevents leaks that cost more to fix later. The features are the part you buy purely because you want them.
Financing is available if you would rather spread the cost, explained on our pool financing options page.
Remodeling Around an Established Backyard
Most remodels happen in yards that are already finished, which makes access and protection part of the plan rather than an afterthought. Where the deck is coming up anyway, it is the right moment to look at the wider space: paver patios, outdoor kitchens, fire features, and hardscaping cost less to build while the machines and crews are already on site.

Frequently Asked Questions
Common signs are cracks, worn or stained surfaces, tile coming loose, equipment that runs inefficiently, and a design that no longer suits how you use the yard. We assess the pool and separate what is actually failing from what is simply dated, then recommend the smallest work that solves the real problem.
It depends on scope. Minor updates may take a few days, while full renovations can take several weeks. You get a clear timeline during the planning phase.
Yes, and it is the cheapest time to do it because the system is already open. See pool equipment upgrades for what modern equipment changes about running costs.
Resurfacing replaces the interior finish of the pool. It improves durability, helps prevent leaks, and restores appearance. It is often the single highest-impact part of a remodel, and it can be done on its own: see pool resurfacing.
It suits some owners and not others. Salt water feels softer and reduces the handling of harsh chemicals, but the system has its own equipment and its own maintenance. Our saltwater conversion page sets out both sides so you can decide.

Two answers shape almost every remodel quote: which parts of the pool actually bother you (the finish, the equipment, the deck, the look), and whether you want it done in one project or staged across seasons. Bring those and the assessment does the rest.
